Several buildings of the Federal High-Technology Center of Nuclear Medicine are ready for commissioning

Every day almost 350 experts work at the facility under construction in Dimitrovgrad.

We would like to remind that the project is implemented in the territory of Dimitrovgrad in the framework of the state programme "Creation of Federal Centers of Nuclear Medicine Technologies" by the order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Residents of the Ulyanovsk region and other parts of the Russian Federation will receive services in this medical center, which is unique not only in Russia but also in the whole world. Investment into the project makes more than 20 billion rubles. The establishment consists of more than twenty buildings, among which is a proton center, a round-the-clock hospital for 312 patients, a rehabilitation facility, a radionuclide diagnostics facility, a PET-center, as well as a polyclinic suitable for 250 visitors per shift.

“At the request of the Governor Sergey Morozov, we carry out regular inspections of the project's implementation. The region has fulfilled its commitments by providing it with the general utilities. At the moment, building and installation work is almost complete and site improvements are carried out. It is planned to finish them within two months. Now we are installing the equipment and construct access roads. In addition, together with the municipal administration we are working on improvement of the city's infrastructure so that Dimitrovgrad corresponds to the high status of this center”, - the Prime Minister of the Ulyanovsk region Alexander Smekalin emphasized.

Today the Federal Service for the Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management (Rostekhnadzor) has approved compliance of the facility to the requirements of technical regulations.

We have completed installation of equipment of transformer substations and internal networks, mounted two gantries, elevators and equipment for CAT and MRI scan rooms. All the constructional and finishing works are completed. As far as the radiological facility is concerned, we are working on facing work and installation of windows.
