Budget of the Ulyanovsk region for 2018 provides for modernization of the vocational education system
The Governor Sergey Morozov announced this decision during the visit to educational institutions in Kuzovatovsky District.
“After the inspection of the local technical school, it was suggested to organize competitive admissions among secondary vocational education institutions, which will help to select the most innovative ones. It is planned that the budget for 2018 provides over 60 million rubles for their development. These funds will be used to improve material and technical resources according to the international standards”, - Sergey Morozov noted.
Currently, secondary vocational education institutions are successfully participating in the WorldSkills Russia project aimed to promote and provide training according to the international standards. Within this movement, high school qualifying championships were held for the first time in 2017. The event took place in ULSPU on such competencies as "Primary School and High School Teacher" and "Handicrafts Teacher". A team of experts, which included professors of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, monitored the work of participants.
According the rector of ULSPU Tamara Devyatkina, the university seeks to improve the quality of training for graduates and in the educational process as a whole through the use of modern technologies and WorldSkills practices. “It is a good professional start for students. It did not come as a surprise when Aleksandra Trenicheva,a participant of the competition, was offered a job in lyceum No. 11 right after the championship”, - the rector added.
Following the results of the championship, a student of the Technology, Physical and Mathematical Department Egor Novikov became the winner in the Handicrafts Teacher competence, and a student of the Foreign Languages Department Anastasiya Syskova - in the Primary School and High School Teacher one. They will represent the Ulyanovsk region in the final of the first national interuniversity WorldSkills Russia championship.
“This competition is an excellent opportunity to test your skills, the ability to cope with stress and creativity. All this will really help us with our teaching activities. During the competition, we did not see each other as rivals. We were a big and friendly team of future teachers who defended the honor of ULSPU”, - said Anastasiya Syskova, a fifth-year student of the Foreign Languages Department, the winner of the championship.
According to the Minister of Education and Science of the Ulyanovsk region Natalya Semyonova, the national team is taking part in the WorldSkills Competition in the United Arab Emirates now. Among the participants, there is a graduate of the Ulyanovsk Technical School of Industry Technologies and Design. “During the WorldSkills competition, which took place on the basis of ULSU in September, we determined the best students in the IT sphere, and today we have selected the best ones in pedagogical competences. I am sure that they will do their best to present the region at the All-Russian level. The preliminary round of the National Championship for people with disabilities "Abilimpiks" will start next week”, - Natalya Semyonova added.
