Ulyanovsk region is implementing 37 investment projects in the sphere of tourism
Twenty of them are in the active stage, and the total amount of investments makes more than 3.5 billion rubles.
According to the experts of the regional Agency of Tourism, until the end of 2018 it is planned to put into operation thirteen facilities of tourist infrastructure in Ulyanovsk and Novoulyanovsk, as well as in Novospassky, Kuzovatovsky, Sursky, Staromainsky and Cherdaklinsky districts. In May a hotel of the IBIS international network will be opened in Zavolzhsky City District, Ulyanovsk; it is planned to start reconstruction of the Chaika camping site in Undory (a village in the Ulyanovsk District) in the second quarter of the year; and in the third quarter of 2018 a hotel and SPA complex will be opened in Leninsky District, Ulyanovsk. Seven more projects, among which is construction of four-star hotels in Zavolzhye District (Ulyanovsk) and Dimitrovgrad, will be implemented in 2019-2020.
In the Investment message the Governor Sergey Morozov emphasized the need to create infrastructure that will be attractive for the potential investor. So, new hotel complexes and camp sites were constructed in the Ulyanovsk region in 2017. An Art-Ulyanovsk hotel was opened at the right coast and a recreation facility "Dubrava" (Melekessky District) was reconstructed. Thus, the number of rooms has increased by 400 units.
