Red Route project became a part of the Russia exposition, which has become the winner of the 14th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF)
The event, which was attended by ninety-nine countries, took place from 10 to 14 May in the Exhibition Center of Shenzhen.
At the end of the exhibition, the award for the best exposition was presented to the Russia pavilion, which included the Red Route project.
“The Ulyanovsk region has a longstanding partnership with the People's Republic of China. Being the capital of Russian "red tourism" and the main federal coordinator in this sphere, the region successfully implements a strategy for promotion of the Red Route project. In addition, the project was included into the list of priority activities in the humanitarian sphere within the Joint Working Group on cooperation in economic and humanitarian fields of Volga-Yangtze. The victory of Russia at the exhibition has confirmed that we selected the right course for development of the regions' tourist industry”, - emphasized Sergey Morozov, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region.
ICIF has the all-China national status and is an international event. This is the largest exhibition and trading platform, which includes cultural industries. ICIF is also approved by UFI.
According to the organizers, representation of the country's cultural heritage at the All-China International Cultural Industries Fair makes a significant contribution to distribution and promotion of achievements of Russian culture and art. Following the results of the exhibition, the exposition was also recognized as a significant pavilion in the One Belt, One Road hall.“Successful implementation of the project depends on the interest of our target audience – tourists from the People's Republic of China. We are experiencing annual growth (by 20-30%) of the tourist flow from China to Ulyanovsk. This year, promotion of the Red Route project is rapidly developing, so we expect to see even more tourist from China. The number should increase by two-three times. Another significant event will be launch of international air traffic in the region. This will also allow to develop direct air communication with provinces of the People's Republic of China”, - noted Yulia Skoromolova, the Director of the Agency for Tourism of the Ulyanovsk region.
