Ulyanovsk enterprises presents its production at the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2018
The event takes place in Yekaterinburg from 9 to 10 July.
This year the exhibition is attended by representatives from 95 countries of the world and 59 regions of Russia, over 600 industrial companies from 20 countries. There are four thematic exhibitions at INNOPROM - Metal Working, Industrial Automation, Mechanical Engineering and Production of Components, and Energy Technology.
In 2017, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant presented at INNOPROM an experimental car with a hybrid system, which was developed by the experts of the UAZ research and development center with the support of the State Research Center "NAMI". The event took place in the presence of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov.
This year, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant presents in Yekaterinburg the first working prototype of UAZ Profi, a unique domestic light truck with a hybrid system.
“We have successfully carried out the first test cycle of the new hybrid. The results tell us that this version of the truck has improved characteristics in the field of fuel consumption, dynamics and ecological indicators. It is also important to note that the new product will contribute to the development of technologies and localization of electric transport in Russia”, - noted Vadim Shvetsov, the Director General of OOO "UAZ".
Ulyanovsk Machine-Tool Plant is also among participants of the exhibition. “Our enterprise presents the DMU-50 machine here. This machine is assembled and manufactured in Ulyanovsk. We are trying to achieve full integration of automation into the machine to ensure effective production. We want to find out how interested our customers are in automation; this way we will be able to understand whether we should develop this sphere in Ulyanovsk or it is not worth it because Russia pays more attention to machining of medium-sized series of objects now”, - noted Alexey Antipin, the Director General of the enterprise.
During INNOPROM-2017, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov, the Director General of AO "Isuzu Rus" Fabrice Gorlier and the Development Director of OOO "SIMAZ" Sergey Polbin signed a tripartite memorandum of intention. According to it, a production of buses with the use of Isuzu chassis will be created in the region. The first prototype of the new car was created in October, 2017, and the SIMAZ plant has started mass production of buses since the beginning of 2018.
