Ulyanovsk region is planning to use more than 270 million rubles to improve medical support for children over the next three years
The draft of the resolution "About modification of the state program "Development of health care in the Ulyanovsk region" for 2014-2020 has been approved at the meeting of the regional Government.
It is planned to repair and upgrade children's policlinics and polyclinic departments of regional hospitals with the use of equipment and medical products in accordance with requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In 2018, 2019 and 2020, 91.6 million rubles will be sent for this purpose annually; 75.1 million of them will be used from means of the federal treasury, and 16.4 million – from the regional budget.
According to the Federal State Statistics Service, the regional indicator of child mortality over the last year has decreased by 14.8% in comparison with the one in 2016, and the level of infant mortality has decreased two-fold. By order of the Governor Sergey Morozov, in order to improve these indicators, the region has been working to introduce the new standard of work in children's policlinics since 2016. Zones of comfortable stay have been built in 15 facilities for children, and open register offices – in 10. Indoor pram storage rooms have been created in 12 children's policlinics, separate entrances for ill children – in 16, elevators and ramps – in 18, information terminals – in 12, play zones – in 14, lactation rooms – in 15. Offices that provide health certificate and medical referrals have started to work in 19 children medical facilities.
“In recent years, the environment for providing services in Ulyanovsk medical facilities for children have improved considerably. The funds allocated will allow us to continue this work, as well as to help those medical institutions where repairs have not been carried out yet. In addition to repairs, it is also planned to purchase equipment for children's policlinics and departments. It is planned to purchase ultrasonic devices, an ECG machine, a defibrillator, an automatic refractometer, devices for measurement of intraocular pressure, X-ray diagnostic digital devices, an analyzer of blood cells, an ophtalmoscope, a fiberscope for gastrointestinal examination, exercise machines for mechanotherapy, a device for research of respiratory function of children and medical test, an X-ray computer tomograph, and other equipment. Modern equipment will help us detect and treat diseases and risk factors of their development earlier”, – said Inna Chigireva, Deputy Minister of Health, Family and Social Wellbeing of the Ulyanovsk region.
