Ulyanovsk region is in the top three leaders of the Volga Federal District on grain yield
During the staff meeting on 30 July, Mikhail Semyonkin, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources of the Ulyanovsk region, reported to the Governor Sergey Morozov about the harvesting campaign.
According to the head of the relevant agency, all municipalities have started harvesting grain and leguminous crops as of 30 July. Their gross output makes about 218 thousand tons with the average yield of 25.9 c/hectare.
Today winter wheat has been harvested from the area of 83320 hectares (30.7% of the plan), the gross output made 216644 tons and the productivity reached 26 c/hectare; winter rye – from the area of 494 hectares and its gross output made 969 tons with the average yield of 19.6 c/hectare. Peas were gathered from the area of 380 hectares, the gross output made 276 tons and the productivity reached 73 c/hectare; barley - from the area of 369 hectares, the gross output - 716 tons, productivity - 19.4 c/hectare. In addition, the Ulyanovsk region continues harvesting industrial crops. Current results: the area - 3775 hectares, the gross output - 4936 tons, productivity - 13.1 c/hectare.
Farms of the region are harvesting winter saffron milk cap and early vegetables - the covered area has made 3775 hectares or 77.2%, the gross output reached 4936 tons with the average yield of 13.1 c/hectare. Farms of Inzensky, Karsunsky, Melekessky, Novospassky, Pavlovsky and Radishchevsky districts have completed harvesting works. The greatest yield has been noted in Radishchevsky District – 21.5 c/hectare. Vegetables have been gathered from the area of 8.5 hectares, the gross output made 216 tons with the average yield of 253.9 c/hectare.
The Ulyanovsk region is also gathering fodder. Perennial crops have been mowed off from the area of 60 783 hectares and harvested - from 59710 hectares (95.1% of the plan). The annual grasses have been mowed off from the area of 32697 hectares are harvested - from 32030 hectares (61.39% of the plan).
A total of 39948 tons of hay have been stocked; with the one gathered last year, it satisfies 104% of the required amount. Work have been completed by farms of Inzensky, Karsunsky, Kuzovatovsky, Maynsky, Melekessky, Nikolaev, Novomalyklinsky, Novospassky, Radishchevsky, Sengileevsky, Starokulatkinsky, Old Maynsky, Sursky, Ulyanovsky and Tsilninsky districts. Haylage has been stocked in the amount of 88245 tons; the supply makes 125.7% of the required amount. This type of fodder is available at farms in Veshkaymsky, Karsunsky, Kuzovatovsky, Maynsky, Novomalyklinsky, Novospassky, Radishchevsky, Sengileevsky, Starokulatkinsky, Ulyanovsky and Cherdaklinsky districts. Straw has been stocked in the amount of 340 tons.
