Ulyanovsk region to launch joint cultural projects with Moscow region
The cooperation agreement was concluded at the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. The document was signed by Narmin Shiraliyeva, Minister of Culture of the Moscow region, and Evgenia Sidorova, Minister of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk region.
“We will actively develop music, visual arts, museum, and library spheres, as well as cinematography, in the territory of our regions based on principles of partnership, equality and mutual trust. We will focus on projects connected with theatres, which is especially important on the eve of the Year of Theater in Russia announced in the Presidential Decree”, - said Evgenia Sidorova, Minister of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk region.
The parties have also agreed to carry out joint events, congresses, conferences, round tables discussions, seminars and trainings in the spheres of culture and art, as well as develop educational programmes and establish communications in the field of publishing and literature. During the Year of Theater, the Ulyanovsk region will continue its participation in the federal programme "Bolshie gastroli" and the project "Luchshie spektakli Zolotoj Maski" (Best Performances of the Golden Mask).
At the initiative of the Governor Sergey Morozov, the region held festivals and forums in the last few years. Thanks to them, Ulyanovsk residents had access to the best cultural events, which include a film festival "Ot vsej dushi", a music one "Mir, Epoha, Imena…", and an international cultural forum.
