Alexey Gordeev highlighted high potential of the Ulyanovsk region in investment attraction and development of agro-industrial complex
On 7 December, the Deputy Prime Minister took part in the official launch of the modern livestock-breeding complex with a rated capacity of 1200 heads in the Novospassky District.
“Fifteen years ago, when Sergey Morozov took office, we started implementing the first projects for development of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex in general. At that time the situation was difficult; the region took the 80th place in terms of its economic potential and investment attractiveness. Today it has a different economy, technologies, and organization of production. Now your region is in the top ten in the investment sphere among territorial entities of the Russian Federation. Here we can see modern large-scale production of both raw materials and finished goods. There are various companies; the agro-industrial complex and production have good prospects to work not only at Russian markets but also at foreign ones”, - Alexey Gordeev noted.
According to the Governor Sergey Morozov, commissioning of the modern livestock-breeding complex will create new jobs for inhabitants of the region and provide them with good salaries and development prospects. “I would like to thank the Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Gordeev for coming to the Ulyanovsk region. He was the first minister of the federal government to visit the region after the elections in 2004. At that time, he believed in our future. Today it came true: we have witnessed a unique event, which shows us that ultramodern technologies are working in the agriculture sector. A modern livestock-breeding complex with a rated capacity of 1200 heads have been commissioned in the Novospassky District. We have started production in Ulyanovsk. It is a unique facility region-wise while it has the latest equipment and sensors that monitor animals' condition and quickly transfer the data. Today all state-of-the-art technologies, which are available in the industry, and all innovations are used in agriculture. Digitalization of production helps the enterprise to be the most effective one and to increase its productivity. The last but not least, there is a sensible approach to the environment - this is not quite common in the countryside. Annual production of milk will increase up to 9.6 thousand tons. On reaching the design capacity, the output of milk will be 10.8 thousand tons per year”, - the head of the region emphasized.
Signing of the agreements aimed at industry development took place on the same day. The government of the Ulyanovsk region and OOO "Ru Agro" agreed to build a new livestock-breeding complex with a rated capacity of 2000 heads. Thanks to the project implementation, about 500 people will be provided with jobs. At the first stage, it is planned to produce unpasteurized milk and cattle meat; starting from the second half of 2019, it is expected to start milk processing; and construction of the complex will have been completed by 2020. In addition, Sergey Morozov and Artur Chakhalyan, Head of OOO "Zernotreyd", signed a document under which the region will start implementation of the project for construction of a grain-processing complex. It is planned that about 400 jobs will be created. The complex will have reached its full potential by 2021 and will produce flour, bran, semolina, dry gluten and wheat powder.
