DMG MORI Ulyanovsk Technology Symposium to take place in 2019 with assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation
Thanks to the Governor Sergey Morozov, next year the event will acquire the all-Russian status.
Currently the regional Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities together with DMG MORI's machine tool plant is Ulyanovsk are working out a format for the third symposium. Preliminary negotiations have already been held with Vasily Osmakov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
"The second Ulyanovsk Technology Symposium caught interest of 278 companies. The number of guests who attended the event increased approximately by one third. The federal support will help us attract even more experts and consumers. The event will become much more important for the Russian machine-tool industry. Together with the plant's management we are discussing if it is possible to include the event in the official programme of Minpromtorg", - said Andrey Tyurin, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Ulyanovsk Region.
DMG MORI was the first company to introduce digitalization in the machine-tool industry. In 2016, a special investment contract was signed by the Government of the Ulyanovsk region, DMG MORI and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. It was the first SPIC concluded with a foreign company in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Thanks to the agreement, the company is considered as a Russian manufacturer and all machines made in Ulyanovsk are marked as "Made in Russia". This year the enterprise produced its thousandth machine, which was purchased by a St. Petersburg company manufacturing tractors.
According to Alexey Antipin, Director General of OOO "Ulyanovsk Machine Tool", production localization plays a major role in development of the plant. "Within SPIC, the level of localization is to reach 70% by 2020. Today we have already achieved the indicator of 35%, and this helps us moderate prices", - he noted.
