Representatives of the Ulyanovsk region to sign a number of agreements at the Gaidar Forum 2019 "Russia and the World: National Development Goals and Global Trends"

The delegation will be headed by the Governor Sergey Morozov.


It is planned that on 15 January, the head of the region will participate in a meeting of the supervisory committee of ANO "Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects". The event will also be attended by President Vladimir Putin. On the same day, Sergey Morozov will participate in the plenary discussion "National Development Goals and Global Trends", where Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will make a speech.

In addition, results of the Ranking of Innovative Regions of Russia will be announced on 15 January. The evaluation is carried out by AIRR together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Last year the Ulyanovsk region was included in Top-10 and took the eighth place.

It is planned that during the forum's second day the Governor will sign an agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation for implementation of the priority project "Support to Private Hi-Tech Leader Companies". Cooperation will aim to stimulate and promote promising fast-growing tech companies.

On 16 January, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region will take part in the open dialogue "National Development Goals: Strategy of Russia for 2018-2024", the panel discussion "New Program of Monocities Support: Key Development Directions", the joint meeting of the Association Council and the general meeting for members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia. It is planned that a trilateral agreement will be signed in the presence of Sergey Morozov to introduce a digital education platform in the Ulyanovsk region.

The Gaidar Forum will take place in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) from 15 to 17 January. This year the event's programme is divided into four major blocks: Global Economic Architecture; Economic Growth; Regional Policy and Governance; and Social Priorities.
