The event is to take place in the region from 24 to 28 April. It will be attended by more than 120 representatives of youth organizations from 70 federal subjects of the Russian Federation.
According to specialists of the relevant regional Ministry, volunteers will help with providing logistics and hospitality services, working with mass media, and organizing the headquarters' activities. Currently, volunteers are undergoing a training programme to learn how to interact with participants of the event.
“Volunteering has been actively developing in the Ulyanovsk region since 2012. Now there are 123 voluntary organizations, which are involved in almost all important events. Here they gain invaluable skills and new knowledge, which they will be able to use in the future. Our young people have participated in major events, which include the geographical festival "Frigate Pallada" and the International Forum "Russia – Country of Sports", where volunteers met with the President. We are sure that this time our young people will cope with all tasks”, – said Irina Lukyanova, Minister of Youth Development of the region.
The Decade of Kindness initiated by Governor Sergey Morozov continues in the Ulyanovsk region. The region is developing volunteer services. Legal foundation has been prepared for support of volunteers, awards have been established for outstanding merits in the field of voluntary and human rights activities, and the regional Council on Volunteering has been created.
"Without a moment's hesitation I decided to become a volunteer at XI Congress of Youth Governments Associations. I can see fast development of the youth policy both in our region and in the whole country. I want to contribute to this activity. The coordinating group of the congress has already showed us the main objectives. Now we are actively training with coaches in stress resistance, team building and internal communication", – said Alexey Grebeshchenko, a volunteer.
