Federal programmes within Education national project to be implemented in Dimitrovgrad

The plan of activities was discussed at the forum organized in the municipality during the Week of Culture, Education and Youth Development.

The thematic week takes place from 29 April to 5 May within the Days of the Ulyanovsk region in Dimitrovgrad announced by Governor Sergey Morozov. The main topic is implementation of national projects developed in compliance with the new May Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.

Currently the Ulyanovsk region is implementing seven regional components of federal projects within the Education national project: Modern School ("Sovremennaya shkola"), Success of Each Child ("Uspekh kazhdogo rebyonka"), Support of Families with Children ("Podderzhka semej, imeyushchih detej"), Digital Learning Environment  ("Cifrovaya obrazovatelnaya sreda"), Teacher of the Future ("Uchitel budushchego"), Young Professionals ("Molodye professionaly"), and Social Activity ("Socialnaya aktivnost'"). The Ministry of Education and Science is implementing a regional component of the federal project "Employment for Women - Creating Conditions for Preschool Education of Children up to 3 Years of Age" within the Demography national project.

“Our budget always includes funds for creation of the comfortable educational environment. This year we will use about 86 million rubles to carry out major repairs in schools and kindergartens. It is very important to pay special attention to improvements while preparing for the new school year”, - Governor Sergey Morozov said.

In addition, in 2019 it is planned to continue implementation of citizens' initiatives within the National Budget project. A contract has been signed worth 158.2 thousand rubles to install a platform to hold cultural events at the university lyceum's school stadium. It is also planned to purchase three children's playgrounds, one outdoors sports complex and four basketball backboards for this establishment (worth 403.8 thousand rubles).

Dimitrovgrad's Points of Growth, a meeting with teachers, has become one of the key events of the thematic week.

“The Decree of the President describes national objectives and strategic problems of the country's development until 2024. To achieve them, we need joint efforts of the whole society, a single approach to project management at all levels. That is why local authorities should ensure individual control at each implementation stage of federal programmes. We are going to create centers for gifted children, a technology park "Kvantorium", and IT COUB in Dimitrovgrad, the second largest city of the region. In addition, a new kindergarten and school will be opened in the city”, - said Natalya Semyonova, Minister of Education and Science of the Ulyanovsk region.

During discussion it was also noted that it is planned to carry out several open classes "Proyektoriya" in Dimitrovgrad within the Success of Each Child federal programme. It will provide early career counselling, as well as ensure implementation of the Ticket to the Future project. It is expected that more than 10 thousand schoolchildren will participate in this event.

There was also a meeting regarding upgrade of teaching facilities in professional educational organizations for training of specialists that meet the municipality’s economy demand. Implementation of the Young Professionals federal programme became the main topic of this discussion. This year it is planned to create 10 workshops with modern infrastructure for one of the competences; a demonstration examination is to take place in June within the State Final Certification. Three professional educational organizations have been accredited to carry out this examination: Dimitrovgrad Technical College, Ulyanovsk Medical College and Olympic Reserve Technical School of Physical Education and Sports.
