"I am sure that the friendly relations promoted by the Forum now will be supported and will continue developing for many years. Participants of the Forum will reach new heights on their way through life and will always have good memories about this special event that brought us all together," – said Plenipotentiary Envoy's welcome message.
Over ten days students will learn about work of local universities and hi-tech enterprises, listen to lectures by the leading Chinese scientists, and become familiar with history and culture of China. The programme includes visits to the well-known Chinese companies (Zoomlion, BROAD), railway traffic safety laboratories of the Ministry of Education of China, and cultural attractions. It is also planned to hold concerts, round table discussion, sport competitions, thematic forums "The Day of Russia" and "The Day of China".
Alysh Alkhasov, head of the Ulyanovsk delegation who teaches Chinese at ULSTU, noted that such forums create a good base for implementation of joint projects between two countries. “Participation in these international projects gives students a wonderful chance to see life in this friendly country; especially because our relations with China are developing at the highest level today. During the forum our students will show a creative performance within the concert programme; and we will present a video about the Ulyanovsk region during one of activities”, - he said.
According to organizers of the event, more than 130 student from higher educational institutions of the Volga Federal District are part of the Russian delegation. The Chinese delegation will be represented by 160 young people from provinces located in the top and average watercourse of the Yangtze River.
“This is my first time in the People's Republic of China, and I am very grateful to the regional Government for this opportunity. The trip will be full of events; we will travel all around the Hunan Province. We will have an opportunity to learn more about China's culture and traditions, to meet new people. Last year I worked together with international delegations that came to Ulyanovsk, cooperated with the Chinese delegation at the Russian-Chinese youth business incubator, which took place in my university. During the trip I hope to get some language practice as I have started learning Chinese recently”, - said Maria Zhuravleva, a student of ULSU.
