Young people will come from the two States to participate in this event. They will develop joint projects aimed at cooperation development.

The forum's opening ceremony will take place in the Palace of Books at 19.00 on 23 September. Governor Sergey Morozov and Nicole Griesmaier, First Secretary Austrian Embassy Moscow, are planning to welcome participants and guests of the event.

“Heads of the two countries announced year 2019 as the Year of Youth Exchanges. It is encouraging that today Russia and Austria have established an effective dialogue. The Ulyanovsk region is actively cooperating with Austrian partners in the field of industrial production and alternative energy sources. We are also successfully developing cultural and humanitarian contacts, as well as cooperation in the academic sphere. The first Russian-Austrian Youth Forum for Humanitarian Cooperation, which we will host after St. Petersburg, will undoubtedly strengthen the ties that have already been established. It will also open new ways to expand cooperation,” - commented Ekaterina Smoroda, Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Ulyanovsk Region.

On 23-25 September, students and volunteers from Austria and Ulyanovsk region will develop joint projects that will help to establish cooperation in the field of innovations, tourism, culture, and information activities. During interactive discussion platforms, the parties will talk about important issues of inter-state interactions. Participants will work in three leading universities of the region - Ulyanovsk State University (ULSU), Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University (ULSPU), and Ulyanovsk State Technical University (ULSTU).

The programme of the Russian-Austrian Youth Forum in the Ulyanovsk region will conclude on September 25 with the communication session "Social project management as part of sustainable development goals".
