Ulyanovsk Region to Conclude New Agreements with Turkey in Investment and Culture

Delegation of the Ulyanovsk region headed by Governor Sergey Morozov will come to the Republic of Turkey with a working visit on October 23-24.


It is planned to hold a number of meetings and negotiations with Turkish companies and the country's business community, as well as to participate in events that aim to strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations between the Ulyanovsk region and its foreign partner.

“Foreign trade between Russia and Turkey grew by 40% over the past year. We will discuss a strategy to increase trade turnover with the Turkish Exporters' Associations and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce to achieve targets set by the national project "International Cooperation and Export" and to set our agreements with Turkish investors,” - Sergey Morozov said.

According to Ekaterina Smoroda, Minister for Development of International and Interregional Relations, participants of the delegation will also meet with government of Istanbul, leading universities of the country and cultural organizations. Special attention will be paid to development of relationships with fellow citizens in Turkey.

The Republic of Turkey is currently one of the region's key partners. Capital inflows from investors amount to 9 billion rubles, which has allowed to create about 700 new jobs. Foreign partners are also implementing a number of social projects in the region to support youth entrepreneurship and municipal improvement.
