VIII Open Regional Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) to Take Place in Ulyanovsk Region

Ulyanovsk Aviation College - Interregional Competence Center (Prospect Sozidateley, 13) will be the main venue for competitions. The event will take place at 11.00 on 25 November.


Professional skills competitions will be organized from 25 to 30 November at secondary specialized educational institutions and social partners' platforms. According to Natalia Semyonova, Minister of Education and Science of the Ulyanovsk Region, the region has been participating in the WorldSkills Russia movement since 2013. “This project opened new opportunities for participants of the championship as they can improve their skills in accordance with the world standards. In addition, this movement allows us to solve tasks within the project "Young Professionals" of the national project "Education". Its implementation is under control of President Vladimir Putin,”- said the Head of the Ministry.

It is expected that the venue will be visited by Nadezhda Kareva, Head of the Union "Agency for Development of Professional Communities and Skilled Workers" (Worldskills Russia).

Representatives from the Moscow, Rostov and Sverdlovsk regions, the Udmurt Republic and Marie El will take part in the open championship. In total, more than 300 people are going to participate. Competitions will include 26 skills sectors: web design and development, pre-school education, engineering design (SAD), confectionery, laboratory medical analysis, welding technology, sports, fitness, and others. In addition, the championship in the Ulyanovsk region will see the first Skills of the Wise competition for specialists in the age category “50+”. It will include two skills sectors - "Cookery" and "Health and Social Care".
