Dimitrovgrad Valve Plant Receives Russian Government Quality Award
Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, signed the resolution on 21 November.
In 2019, twelve Russian organizations received awards for their achievements in the quality of products and services and for introduction of highly effective methods of quality management.
In 2018, Dimitrovgrad Valve Plant became a diploma winner.
“Having achieved positive results, we not only win, but also get independent experts' opinion about our production system, its strengths and weaknesses; and we can use it in our work. Any system must be constantly improved to positively affect the quality of products in the future. Currently, among other things we are working on diversification of production, as well as expanding the range of parts that we can manufacture with our equipment. Qualified assistance, which we received last year, helped us to develop from a diploma winner to the awardee,”- said Mikhail Voronov, Director of OOO "Dimitrovgrad Valve Plant".
The plant is the leading manufacturer of automotive valve goods in Russia. The product line includes more than 230 items, which are used for all types of tires and wheels.
“Dimitrovgrad Valve Plant does not lose in comparison with Western enterprises and its products are successfully used at automobile plants in Russia and the CIS states. Qualifications and experience of our employees, as well as high-tech equipment, ensure high quality of products. This is a great example of competent managerial decisions and an effective management system,”- said Andrey Tyurin, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region.
Russian Government Quality Awards are given to organizations based on results of annual competitions for significant achievements in the quality of products and services, as well as for introduction of highly effective methods of quality management. Participants successfully implement the concept of lean manufacturing, use innovative technologies, and have the most developed integrated management systems. According to Maxim Protasov, Head of the Russian Quality System (Roskaschestvo), after inspections the company receives an action plan - detailed recommendations for optimization and improvement of business processes, which allows to make more competitive products or provide services at a higher level.Upon the initiative of Governor Sergey Morozov, Ulyanovsk region will start early implementation of the national project Labor Productivity and Employment Support" in 2020. Thanks to it, enterprises of the region will be able to receive methodological and practical assistance in the introduction of lean manufacturing.
