Dimitrovgrad Professional Technical School to Create Modern Workshops According to Worldskills Russia Standards

As part of the working trip on 13 February, Governor Sergey Morozov visited the municipality and checked the course of repair work.

The head of the region said, “In 2019, we used funds from the regional budget to equip workshops according to Worldskills Russia standards. For us, it is important that students could study in modern conditions. I have decided to provide this educational institution with another five million rubles to repair it and purchase new equipment. In the near future, the headmaster of the technical school will design a programme for further development of his establishment, which will include new skills necessary for the region and Dimitrovgrad. I would like to note that the budget for 2020 includes 100 million rubles for upgrade of infrastructure in educational institutions.”

Dimitrovgrad Professional Technical School will receive new equipment for three types of workshops: welding technology, cooking, and hairdressing. The Cooking department was created in the technical school's canteen. The new equipment meets all modern requirements of employers and allows students to practice their skills in such spheres as "Bakery" and "Cooking and Confectionery". It will also ensure that students can pass their future exams. The Welding Technology workshop has four workplaces with all necessary equipment, and the Hairdressing one - 10.

In addition, the technical school has been implementing educational programmes since 2019, which are included in the Top-50 list of new, most demanded and promising professions.

“Reconstruction and new equipment of the technical school have defined priority spheres for its development in the nearest future. We have already designed a draft programme to improve infrastructure of this educational institution for 2020. It includes further repairs of the main academic building, inspection of the foundation bed and internal work in the historical part of the building, which is one of cultural heritage sites. It is planned to upgrade workshops of the Maintenance Foreman for Machine and Tractor Fleet profession,” - said Ramil Agliullov, Headmaster of Dimitrovgrad Professional Technical School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.S. Chernov.

“Development of middle-rank professions requires significant resources. Within the federal project "Young Professionals" of Education national project, which was initiated by President Vladimir Putin, ten modern workshops and laboratories will be established in the region in 2020. It is planned to create 15 more facilities of this kind in 2021. In addition, regional competence centers will be built in four municipalities of the region. So far, we have decided that these centers will start working in Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad, as well as Kolovatovsky and Insensky districts,” - said Natalya Semenova, Minister of Education and Science of Ulyanovsk Region.
