Dimitrovgrad Plant Starts Serial Production of Headlights for KAMAZ
On 13 March, Governor Sergey Morozov and Sergey Kogogin, Director General of PAO "KAMAZ", visited OOO "Avtosvet" and took part in the official launch of the assembly line for KAMAZ-54901 headlamp units.
The head of the region noted, “Thanks to cooperation with the country's largest enterprise, we were able to attract more than 500 million rubles from the federal budget to create Dimitrovgrad Industrial Park "Master". The new line for production of KAMAZ lighting equipment is a great market, which will become a success for us in the future.”
Participants of the event checked out production sites and performance of the plant and inspected the range of products; in particular, samples of headlamp units and rear lights for LADA vehicles (Vesta, X-Ray).
“Taking into account present-day developments, it is important to rely on Russian manufacturers of automotive components and leaders of the Russian market. This will help us to be independent of foreign companies and external factors while keeping our new cars affordable for a wide range of consumers. The fact that this production of headlamp units for К5 cars will be placed on the Kamaz site is an important production event for everyone,” - Sergey Kogogin commented.
Development of the new production site at OOO "Avtosvet" started at the end of last year. In November, the company installed assembly line for KAMAZ headlamp units and put it into experimental operation. This equipment allows to assemble and control combined headlamp units according to the К3 design (halogen spotlight + LEDs) and Full Led headlamp units according to the К5 design. JINWAY Company created and manufactured the assembly line.
The new assembly line's total capacity is 30 products per hour, 90 thousand sets of headlamp units per year. The facility includes fifteen assembly stations and two to monitor reliability and performance of the items. New equipment has Poka Yoka error prevention features, which allows to remove the human factor during assembly operations. There is also a high-tech functionality inspection stand. The station has an artificial vision camera, which ensures automated control over of each LED's operability.
