Flour-Milling Enterprises Continue Developing in Ulyanovsk Region
On 3 May, Governor Sergey Morozov visited OOO "Melnica kupca Markova" in Dimitrovgrad and inspected the upgraded production facilities.
Sergey Morozov emphasized, “We continue to support manufacturers of the Ulyanovsk region, which includes enterprises processing cereal and leguminous crops. It is necessary to approach this topic rationally, to work out the strategy for development of the milling industry in the region, to increase the export of goods and to bring them to international markets.”
OOO "Melnica kupca Markova" produces flour and flour-based products, as well as stores, processes and transports grain for agricultural manufacturers of the Ulyanovsk region. It is planned to support the investment project of this enterprise this year.
The company is currently building a more modern high-performance mill; it has also signed contracts to purchase equipment and materials and to carry out contract work for installation and construction. It is planned to put into operation the SOVOKRIM mill in September 2020. Its installed capacity will total 120 tons of baking wheat milling per day and 50 tons of rye peeled grinding a day, which will increase the output and revenues, as well as create new jobs.
According to Mikhail Semyonkin, Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development, the region sees the flour-milling industry as one of the priorities - enterprises purchase grain from local agricultural manufacturers and provide relevant facilities with flour for breadmaking.
“For us, the main project is reconstruction of the mill now. We will have very high-quality flour thanks to the upgraded equipment. During the year, we are planning to process 56 thousand tons of grain, which is 44 thousand tons of flour. It is a big output. We will ship our products throughout the region, and we would also like to sell it abroad,” - said Evgeny Umnov, Head of OOO "Melnica kupca Markova".
Investments in production facilities totaled about 200 million rubles, which was attracted from the company's own resources. Implementation of this project will allow to purchase about 60 thousand tons of grain per year from agricultural manufacturers of the Ulyanovsk region to process, clean and dry it for subsequent sale and to further process it into flour-based products.
