Ulyanovsk Region Continues Upgrading Medical Facilities

The Government approved changes to the regional state programme for healthcare development.



According to experts of the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region, expenditures within the federal budget will be increased by 219.6 million rubles in 2020. They include payments to public healthcare workers for special working conditions during the coronavirus pandemic and additional workload.

The resolution approved by Prime Minister Alexander Smekalin ensures 6.2 million rubles increase in budget expenditures in 2020. They will aim to support activities of medical facilities, which includes accounts payable. It is also planned to redistribute expenditures of the regional budget this year.

“The regional treasury has allocated 29.3 million rubles to repair buildings of Bolshenagatkinsky, Karsunsky, Sengileevsky, Starokulatkinsky, Terengulsky and Sursky district hospitals. About one million rubles are provided to establish an outpatient cancer care center at Novospassky district hospital. More than 4 million rubles will be used to carry out major repairs at the Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary,” - commented Viktor Misharin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Ulyanovsk Region.

The Ulyanovsk region will provide 12 billion 944 million rubles as part of financial support for activities within the state programme in the field of healthcare.
