On 10 July, Governor Sergey Morozov visited the plant and examined a new project for production of engine heads and blocks for Hyundai and Kia cars.

Sergey Morozov said, “I visited Nemak enterprise today. The plant became fully active after the restrictive measures were lifted; it starts a major project to develop production. Additional investment will amount to 1.7 billion rubles and more than 120 new jobs will be created for residents of the region.”

“In early March, we were nominated for the new project by Hyundai, a Korean automotive manufacturer. We are planning to launch production in October 2021. Starting in 2022, we expect to achieve the maximum output of about 230,000 vehicle sets per year,” - said Anatoly Luzgin, Director General of OOO "Nemak Rus".

The plant has been operating in the region at the industrial park "Zavolzhye" since September 2015; it manufactures cylinder heads and blocks. The investor provided about 2.4 billion rubles for the economy of the region, almost 200 residents of the region work at the enterprise. The plant is the first project of Nemak Corporation in Russia and its thirty-fifth facility in the world. The company's customers include world's leading automobile manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Škoda.
