Ulyanovsk Manufacturers Present Their Goods at WorldFood Moscow Exhibition and Discuss Delivery Conditions with Potential Foreign Partners
The largest event in the domestic food market was held at Crocus Expo exhibition complex in Moscow from 22 to 25 September. The Ulyanovsk region was represented by such companies as "Zelyonaya ulitsa" (Green Street), "Rybniy kray Dimitrovgrad", "Sladis" and "Repyovsky krupozavod" (Repyovsky Groats Mill).
This year, the emphasis was put on demonstration of products made by Russian companies, as well as import substitution. Exhibition stands included brands from Moscow and 28 regions of the country. More than 300 manufacturers and distributors presented their goods in 15 segments that covered all product categories.
Manufacturers of the Ulyanovsk region were able to participate in the event thanks to the financial support of the regional export center of the Ulyanovsk Region Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Corporation.
According to Ruslan Gainetdinov, Chairman of the Board, the export center is responsible for organization and co-financing of collective or individual stands at international expositions held in the country and abroad during which entrepreneurs can present their products to potential customers. Governor Sergey Morozov emphasized that it is particularly important to ensure favorable conditions for development of export activities. Large-scale All-Russian and international exhibition projects help export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses to look for customers and to sign contracts with new partners, hence contributing to tasks of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" initiated by President Vladimir Putin.
During WorldFood Moscow, Ulyanovsk entrepreneurs discussed delivery of their products with representatives of Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Jordan and India. Contracts have been previously discussed with potential foreign partners.
“Participation in such landmark events as WorldFood offers entrepreneurs prospect of concluding good partnership agreements, which means that even one trip can bring great benefits. During the exhibition, we were able to talk to representatives of two Indian companies, Solar and Mamta, which were really interested in our cereal. At the moment, negotiations are underway regarding product certification and batch volumes,” - said Konstantin Inozemtsev, regional Head of Repyevsky Groats Mill.
In addition to participating in major exhibitions and fairs, the regional export center provides executives of companies that have export potential with the opportunity to undertake training programmes aimed at accelerated development of international trade activities; they can also receive assistance in finding foreign partners. The center carries out annual inter-regional, international and reverse business missions, during which owners of small and medium-sized enterprises visit various companies and meet representatives of the business community to gain new experience and to establish business relations. In addition, training workshops, master classes, webinars and other information and consulting events in the field of export are held on a regular basis as part of the agreement with the Russian Export Center's school.
