Priority Social and Economic Development Area 'Dimitrovgrad' Welcomes Russia's First Resident in Medical Field
Alexander Smekalin, Chairman of the Government of Ulyanovsk Region, examined the new multi-specialty diagnostic and treatment center. The medical institution will be ready to receive patients in January 2021.
According to the Chairman, this is a unique experience not only for the region, but also for the whole country.
He commented, “We examined how the country's first resident that works specifically in the field of healthcare is preparing to open its facility in the Priority Social and Economic Development Area (PSEDA). The new diagnostic and treatment center will provide services in more than 32 branches of medicine, which are in demand not only among Dimitrovgrad residents, but also people who live in the neighboring municipal districts of the region. A major advantage is that this institution will work with the Obligatory Medical Insurance (OMI) policy. We are fully supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, which oversees activities of PSEDAs in the country. The investor received all possible benefits and preferences. The project will improve the quality of medical services in Dimitrovgrad.”
The head of the region Sergey Morozov identified development of PSEDA "Dimitrovgrad" as a priority area and set the task for the Regional Government to provide PSEDA residents with administrative support and guidance during implementation of their investment projects.
“Dozens of companies have used benefits of the priority development area. New types of business have been created, and these projects usually have a different profile compared to the one that is traditional for the city itself. The Development Corporation is a co-founder of the industrial park "Master", which was established here. All venues available in this park have already found demand among investors - we do not even have enough time to repair the facilities. We have rented out all building that are currently undergoing repairs. In the nearest future, we are going to share this experience with Inza, which received the PSEDA status this November,” - said Sergey Vasin, Director General of the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation.
Laus Deo, LLC presented a project "Citilab Multi-Specialty Diagnostic and Treatment Center" and became one of the residents of PSEDA "Dimitrovgrad" at the beginning of 2020. The company also started implementing its investment project. It created a clinic with the area of more than two thousand square meters, reconstructed and repaired the premises, installed medical equipment and recruited staff. About 40 new jobs have been created; most of them are designed for highly qualified medical specialists. The medical center can treat up to 480 patients a day. Currently, the establishment is undergoing licensing and is planning to welcome its first patients in January next year.
According to Maxim Korolev, Director General at Laus Deo, as part of the priority development area, the company committed to increasing the number of employees working in its facilities to 90 people.
“There are all conditions required for comfortable work with patients, and no queues, which is especially important during the pandemic. But the most important thing for the personnel is the cutting-edge medical equipment,” - said Islhamiya Gallulova, a board-certified doctor and an employee of the future center.
Such a project implemented at PSEDA in Dimitrovgrad is a pilot one for the whole country. Successful experience of the investor, who works in the healthcare sector and has received all possible state and regional benefits, can be shared and applied at other priority development areas in other regions.
