Ulyanovsk Region: Coronavirus Lockdown Extended until 28 January

Governor Sergey Morozov signed amendments to the decree "On the introduction of high-alert regime and the establishment of mandatory rules for citizens and organizations during the high-alert regime."

During the New Year holidays, the region paid even more attention to the work of retail facilities, organizations that provide services to the population, and public urban and suburban transport. The authorities controlled the use of sanitizers and disinfectants, as well as compliance with the glove-and-mask regime. According to the document, shops and transport will deny entry to people without personal protective equipment - it will be allowed to refuse providing any services. Non-compliance with the glove-and-mask regime will be considered an administrative offense and registered as such.

The citizens are advised to refrain from visiting crowded places. All public events must finish before 8 p.m.

School holidays will last until 10 January, 2021. After the winter holidays, classes for students in 7-11 grades will alter between full-time and online forms. From 11 to 15 January, high school students will study in the classrooms, and secondary-school ones will stay online. The schedule has been designed considering previous teaching experience that took place from 23 November to 25 December, 2020. Another important factor is the final interview for ninth-grade students, which will be held on 10 February.
