The agreement was reached between Governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov and the German investor during an online meeting.
The Governor commented, “Our task is to maintain the speed of economic development, to do our best to implement new investment projects in the region, to continue creating infrastructure for industrial parks and SEZs so as to place large production facilities, and to improve the system of state support for business.”
The German company will place its production of high-tech equipment in the Port Special Economic Zone (PSEZ). Investments into the project will total about 100 million rubles; approximately twenty new high-tech jobs will be created for residents of the Ulyanovsk region. Production processes will be automated, and operators will work with special digital equipment. Intra-regional cooperation will take place within the project. The company is going to use machines made by Ulyanovsk Machine-Tool Plant, LLC (DMG MORI), a resident of the Zavolzhye Industrial Park.
After the meeting, Sergey Morozov instructed the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation to prepare a draft document for the next meeting of the PSEZ Expert Council, which will be held in late January.
