Ulyanovsk Region Starts Week of International Cooperation and Export National Project
Events dedicated to the main parts of the national project will be held in the region from 1 to 7 February.
“2020 became a trial for many business spheres. But we can see that thanks to our joint efforts, this area has almost completely recovered from the restrictions and the economic consequences of the pandemic. Companies continue developing successfully and increase their export volumes. Our task now is to provide all necessary support and conditions so that Ulyanovsk manufacturers could come to new markets. That is why the upcoming Investment Address will pay particular attention to this area,” - said Governor Sergey Morozov.
A training seminar will be held for novice exporters at the House of Entrepreneurship on 1 February. The event will take place within the thematic week and focus on "Marketing as Part of an Export Project".
An online meeting will be held with potential partners from the Republic of Iraq, representatives of JSC "Russian Railways Logistics" and Russian Export Center. They will discuss establishment of new transport and logistics corridors, as well as cooperation with the CIS countries.
Conference calls and meetings with business representatives will be held in all municipalities of the region. The Governor will examine prospects for development of large enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region.

“Currently, we are working to create new logistics channels; we are also negotiating with foreign partners to make it simpler for Ulyanovsk entrepreneurs to search for new markets. The Ulyanovsk-Zibo route is also very active now, and it has received a new destination: goods are sent to Europe after redistribution in Ulyanovsk,” - said the head of the Corporation.
According to Mikhail Semenkin, Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development of Ulyanovsk Region, the export rate of agricultural products reached the required number in the region. “The development of this agricultural sphere is supported by the International Cooperation and Export national project, which is implemented by order of President Vladimir Putin. I would like to note that due to the increase in grain production, agricultural enterprises of the Ulyanovsk region are building new storage facilities. In total, the region has 391 grain platforms including warehouses, which can store 1 million 337.4 thousand tons of grain and up to 2 million 250 thousand tons after reconstruction of 5 more buildings. It is planned to open another grain platform in the Mainsky District in 2021, which will include five warehouses of OOO "Simbirsky myasnoy dvor". Investments into the project make 250 million rubles, and it is planned to create 55 new jobs,” - the Deputy Chairman explained.
