Ulyanovsk Region: More Than 60 Schoolchildren Can Try Their Hand at New Professions
Special workshops are now available in the region under the national project "Education". They are held at the Ulyanovsk Aviation College - Interregional Competence Center.
These workshops help to complete tasks set by the career guidance project "Ticket to the Future", which helps schoolchildren choose their future profession. It is implemented by order of President Vladimir Putin with assistance of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation together with the Humanitarian Projects Foundation.
“Career guidance is an important step towards our children's successful future. By request of Governor Alexey Russkikh, we train people from a young age for different sectors of the economy. A number of important projects are being implemented in the Ulyanovsk region, one of which includes aircraft engineering classes. For us, the key project is Ticket to the Future that provides for early career guidance. This year, schoolchildren will delve into a new professional environment. There will be new features that we are presenting at the forum in August. I should note that our region has been participating in the Ticket to the Future project since 2018. During this time, more than eight thousand schoolchildren have tried their hand at new professions,” said Natalya Semenova, Minister of Education of Ulyanovsk Region.
Ulyanovsk Aviation College has been taking part in the project since 2018. Classes about cars and IT technologies are the most popular ones.
Members of the student's team and job coaches work with children over the course of two weeks. During these workshops, participants learn about mechanical engineering, welding and operating CNC machines in an easy and entertaining way. Children also spend time with students playing interactive games, watching movies and talking about educational topics.
