Isuzu plant in Ulyanovsk to manufacture cars of increased load capacity in the first quarter of 2017
Today a meeting between the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov and the management of the Japanese enterprise took place in Tokyo.
"We believe that, by convincing our Japanese partners to place their enterprise in Ulyanovsk, we achieved a great success. Today the Isuzu plant provides employment for about two hundred jobs and is increasing the rates of production. So, for the first ten months of 2016, the sales volume more than doubled the previous year's figures. The overall indicator increased by more than 22% and tax payments to the regional budget - by more than 33%. I am sure this is only the start. Currently we are working together on localization of production for Isuzu components in the Ulyanovsk region. First of all, this includes development of the UAZ Industrial Park", - the head of the region noted.
The company plans to expand the plant site in the territory of the Ulyanovsk region and open a welding production on an area of at least 2000 sq.m. The Isuzu investment project will allow to create up to one hundred additional jobs in the region and will become an anchor one for the private industrial park "UAZ".
In the spring of 2017, the company will start preparation for production of ISUZU trucks with lifting capacities of 40 tons in Ulyanovsk.
