This proves that we are both on the right track and at the forefront: a unique plant of the company, which is also the Russia's first one, was constructed in the Ulyanovsk region. Today, about five hundred employees are working here, they are provided with high salaries and interesting jobs. I am sure that the set pace of development and the collaboration with partners from Bridgestone will yield great results for economy and social wellbeing of the whole region", - Sergey Morozov noted.
The parties discussed the prospects of project implementation and expansion of main markets. For example, it is planned to sell Bridgestone products, which will be made at the Ulyanovsk plant, inside and outside Russia, as well as to supply it to Russian plants of foreign car manufacturers.
The construction of the first and only Bridgestone plant in Russia was completed in September 2016 in Ulyanovsk within the territory of Zavolzhye industrial zone and 12.5 billion rubles were invested in it. In December 2016, the enterprise officially launched the production. The Ulyanovsk plant will manufacture up to 2 million tires a year.
