Construction of a new Legrand plant to start in the Ulyanovsk region in spring 2017

The agreement was signed by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov, the Director General of Legrand Group in Russia and the CIS countries Alexis Conan and the head of the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation Sergey Vasin within the V International Forum on Energy Efficiency and Energy Development in November 2016.

 The Chairman of the regional Government Alexander Smekalin examined the platform, which is being preparing for construction of the facility. “This plant will allow not only to create new capacities but also to transfer a part of the company's production from the centre of the city. The released territory will be used for city development”, - he emphasized.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, the region has fulfilled obligations to the investor and has finished preparation of all specifications to meet the needs of the enterprise, which fully satisfy the construction requirements. In turn, representatives of Legrand provided updates on the preparations of the project documentation and plans to come to the building site at the end of April - the beginning of May.
