Development strategy for the national park "Sengileevsky Mountains" was created in the Ulyanovsk region
The document, covering years 2017-2019, was presented at a meeting of the Public Council concerning the United Russia's project "Ecology of Russia". The vice-chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of Russia on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship Vladimir Gutenyov participated in the event.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the resolution on creation of a national park in the territory of the Ulyanovsk region. At the meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers, which took place on March 27, the Chairman of the Federal Government noted that only joint efforts of the government and the society will help to solve the issue of environmental protection and conservation. “The Middle Volga region has its unique characteristics, one of a kind forest and steppe ecosystems, and, of course, there are rare species of plants and animals. In addition, this territory is also interesting from the historical and archaeological points of view. I hope that the national park will allow to preserve these unique places. The work within the Year of Ecology and the Year of Especially Protected Nature Territories has just begun and we will continue it”, – Dmitry Medvedev noted.
During the meeting of the Public Council, Vladimir Gutenyov highly praised work on implementation of the Ecology of Russia project, which was carried out in the Ulyanovsk region by the local office of the United Russia.
“It was a pleasant experience to learn about a number of projects of the party's regional office, which are implemented with due regard to the local specifics. These include establishment of national parks, as well as involvement of school children and young people in implementation of ecological projects”, - Vladimir Gutenyov emphasized.
According to Dmitry Fyodorov, the member of the Public Council of the Ecology of Russia project and the Deputy Head of Sengileevsky district, the development strategy of the national park for 2017-2019 will help to form a new attitude to the natural and cultural heritage of Sengileevsky district. “Thanks to establishment of a national park, all the nessesary conditions will be created to increase the income of local people and to create new jobs and mechanisms of social partnership, – Dmitry Fyodorov noted. – The priority tasks for the current year include opening of the first visitor center, arrangement of observation and viewing platforms on tops of Shilovskaya Shishka and the Granoe Uho mountains”.
Currently the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources of the Ulyanovsk region Mikhail Semyonkin together with Dmitry Fyodorov held a number of meetings with experts of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. They discussed the issues connected with development of the especially protected nature territory. It is planned that the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation on creation of Directorate of the national park "Sengileevsky mountains" will be signed in the nearest future.
