Ulyanovsk resident became the winner of the All-Russian forum Volunteer - 2017

Bogdan Andreyev, the leader of the youth group "Druzina" and a pupil of the Gymnasium No.1 named after V.I. Lenin, has won the first place in the nomination "Young Volunteer. Family Volunteering". Results of the competition were summed up in Moscow.

 On 6 December, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced that in 2018 the country will hold the Year of Volunteer. Development of volunteering is one of the focus areas for the Ulyanovsk region government. On 4 December, the Governor Sergey Morozov signed a number of documents for support of volunteering.

"In March 2018 we will see the annual Provincial Competition of youth projects, which has the Volunteering nomination. Everyone can submit an application; the best initiatives will be supported", - said Oksana Solntseva, the Minister of Youth Development of the Ulyanovsk region.

"Druzina" is a public association that currently has 19 members. Its key area of work is help in organization of events: transfer, food, accommodation, security. The city youth group "Druzina" assisted the international company "Sound's Life", which organizes international competitions, festivals and forums. One of their last events was the competition "Star Continent", which took place in Ulyanovsk from 8 to 10 December.

“I am the leader of the group; I work with volunteers and participants to coordinate their activities. Our project is a family one. My brother is the director and his wife is the deputy director; our parents always help us. We are planning that our public work will become a new popular project”, - Bogdan Andreyev said.
