Artists of Ulyanovsk Region Are Invited to Participate in FormART Project

Applications should be submitted on until 7 July. The event is held at the initiative of the Igor Komarov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District.

The project is available for both professional street artists and amateurs living in the district and aged from 16 to 35.

In 2021, the festival is dedicated to science and technology, and the main theme is "Looking into the future". Artists are invited to create street art that will demonstrate development potential of the country and new technologies. There are three themes: New Technologies, Man and Science, and Future World. Works will be evaluated by an expert jury with vast experience in the field of fine and street art, architecture and urban planning. Finalists will get the opportunity to bring to life their artistic ideas on walls of buildings located in the district and they will also be eligible for cash grants to continue developing their creative skills. Photos and videos that show how these artworks are created in the urban environment will be posted on the project's website, and the winner will be determined by a public vote this autumn. This year, the competition's prize money has been doubled: first, second and third place winners will receive cash prizes worth 100-200 thousand rubles.

Nikita Romanov, whose project won in FormART 2020, had his artwork placed on the facade of a house located in Ryabikova Street, Ulyanovsk.
