Isuzu Rus Plant in Ulyanovsk Increases Output and Number of Job Offers
Aleksey Russkikh, Head of Ulyanovsk Region, visited the truck production company and met with Fabrice Gorlier (Director General) on 27 July. The parties discussed work during the post-pandemic period and plans for development of the enterprise.
“This year, the Ulyanovsk plant hired additional 90 workers, all of whom are locals. The dynamics look promising. We are interested in Isuzu Rus developing and expanding its production space. This is important for the Ulyanovsk region because the enterprise provides tax revenues to the budget and creates new jobs for residents of the region. For our part, we are always ready to support the company,” - emphasized Aleksey Russkikh.
The company demonstrates output growth. The plant has had two shifts since April 2021 and is now working almost around the clock. It also has 260 employees.
“We expect record sales in 2021. We can see opportunities for growth of the automotive market, so the demand for our products will also increase. At the end of the year, we expect to make and sell more than four thousand cars,” said Fabrice Gorlier, Director General at Isuzu Rus.
According to Sergey Vasin, Head of the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation, the investor receives all necessary information and support to operate successfully in today's post-pandemic conditions and to continue developing the project.
