Third IT Cube to Train More Than 500 Children
Governor Alexey Russkikh took part in the opening ceremony of the new Digital Education Center in Ulyanovsk.
He said, “We opened the third IT Cube in Ulyanovsk on the Day of the Programmer. The national project "Education" initiated by President Vladimir Putin helped us create the newest Digital Education Center for children at the city school. Today I checked equipment of the new IT Cube and talked with teachers and young programmers. The most important part is that children are very enthusiastic about this project.”
The center is located at secondary school No. 62 and will offer eight general education programmes: Scratch Programming, Robotics, Programming VR/AR Applications, Python Programming, System Administration, Java Programming, Computer Basics, and Computer Graphics.
“These Centers have been established to create a comfortable vibrant environment that will help children learn relevant skills and competencies in the field of information technology. We also aim to identify, support and develop children's talents. Two IT Cubes located in the Leninsky and Zasviyazhsky districts are already successfully working in the city. More than 500 children will be taught free of charge at each of them every year. The third Cube's interior was inspired by legendary science fiction films,” said Vadim Pavlov, Director General at the Ulyanovsk Region Agency for Technological Development.
